“Guitar as art? No question, these are absolutely breathtaking”

Dave Burrluck, Guitarist Magazine

Robson Tuners embarked on this project to produce a limited edition line of unique instruments.

The brief was to build some of the finest engraved guitars ever seen, each constructed to the highest possible quality throughout, with a precision engineer’s attention to detail and aesthetics.

Each subsequent  guitar will be unique in design and fabricated to the same exacting standards.

Producing an entirely hand built and completely hand engraved guitar of this quality is the culmination of hundreds of hours of highly skilled and specialist craftsmanship.

Greg Goodwillie

An engraver with a huge passion for the guitar and a large personal guitar collection spent 13 years as a master engraver at James Purdey Shotguns. Greg’s idea to produce his own hand engraved guitars initially came from having having worked in the same workshop as Danny O’Brien engraver, of the original Zemaitis Guitars.

Edna-May was built in the Purdey factory by two of Greg’s work colleagues, Phil Butcher and James Bryan. The engraving was done by Greg and two fellow master engravers, Paul Chung and John Dowell.

With Nellie-May we wanted to so something different by producing a semi-hollow with F holes, creating a beautiful touch to accentuate the engraving.
